Belonging Collapse Exclusion Shutdown
Definition
Acute-onset exclusion-driven belonging shutdown: ostracism and social-pain research supports the immediate social-pain response, which may resolve or persist depending on what follows. It differs from Walled Aloneness by its discrete exclusion trigger and from Mood Retreat by beginning in social rejection rather than a depressive episode.
