Belonging Freeze Among Others

cascade-variant.belonging-freeze-among-othersclinical register

Definition

Subjective isolation amid present others — the freeze form distinguishes from Belonging Collapse (chronic, with self-perpetuating loop) by the active surveillance quality and from Belonging Depletion (environmental absence) by the social-presence-with-disconnection criterion. Capacity (Bond) is frozen-out (severed from affective/cognitive relational integration) while the Relational field itself runs hot — present company, live social demand, and continuous invitation to engage pressing on the person, who meets it with hypervigilant scanning, misread reception, and surveillance rather than contact. The loneliness-as-perceived-isolation model is the lens-anchor.
