Definition
Mental content fires at high volume — Focus, Bond, and Move all active across the M-column, with Focus also pulled laterally into the Emotional so attending fastens onto the affect itself — while the receptive Open-row is inhibited along the Emotional and Relational routes, holding the intake door shut so none of the loud content lands as new material. The grid reads as a saturated, self-circling interior that can neither admit novelty nor receive from others. Across novelty-shut and overwhelm-shutdown presentations the structure is the same; what differs is only whether the closure is a state-driven numbing that lifts as the load clears or an entrenched shutdown that cannot reopen until partner centers carry receiving back first.
