cascade-variant
Identification Flood Racing Self
Definition
This variant is reserved for a clinically assessed manic presentation in which racing or expansive self-related thought supplies M+ and identity grip supplies B+. Mania does not always involve this exact self-fusion. Acute tempo, pressured speech, increased activity, and reduced need for sleep distinguish the presentation from more stable grandiosity or coercive doctrinal closure, without assigning one biological cause.
