Intimacy Flood Dependent Clinging
Definition
A dependent or submissive presentation fits only where approval and another person's judgments are absorbed with excessive gain while relating consistently privileges that person's needs or authority over the self. Reassurance seeking, indecision, or cultural deference alone does not establish either pole. The coordinate is distinguished by observed unfiltered intake plus loss of mutual balance, not by the absence of protest, splitting, rage, or obsession.
