Definition

Chronic hyperkinetic motor overdrive: the body will not pace — fidgeting, restlessness, an internal motor running with no episode boundary and no mood elevation. Distinct from Mixed Agitation, where motor activation rides a dysphoric mood and carries an affective grip, and from Breath Rush, an acute respiratory-autonomic panic surge; here the restlessness is trait-level and motoric, neither dysphoric nor episodic nor respiratory.
