Passion Collapse Learned Helplessness
Definition
A learned-helplessness framing fits only where uncontrollability history is accompanied by both reduced emotional investment and reduced action. Stable, global, or internal attributions are cognitive features and do not by themselves prove E-; learned passivity can also occur while distress remains high. The form is distinguished by the observed V-/E- pair, not by presumed reversibility or a contrast between cognitive, biological, and deficit etiologies.
