cascade-variant
Passion Flood Self Harm
Definition
A self-injury episode fits this form only when emotion is above usable range and the self-directed action is simultaneously impulsive or excessive. Nonsuicidal self-injury, relief after injury, or a self-punitive account does not prove V+/E+, and suicidal intent must be assessed rather than inferred away from the label. The coordinate is decided by the observed bilateral state, not by comparing the target of behavior with anger, craving, or eating.
