Acuity Withdrawal
Definition
Mental holds at its ordinary range while Focus is under-active at Acuity. Usable thought is available; the attending that would settle on it engages weakly or inconsistently. The thinking itself has not lost its sharpness — that is what separates this from a collapse, where the mental ground is also below center. Where the under-attending reaches further it follows attention's own reach: contact thins toward feeling, toward other people, and toward the body, and in a mood-driven presentation toward what matters most as well. A profile can also carry other capacities running low at Mental without the Mental domain itself going under-active. Those are conditions that can be present rather than a spread the origin requires, and the same origin covers a mild stepping-back and a deep one — duration, motive, whether it sustains itself, and any order of return are not settled by it.
