Definition
Holding stays ready while the inner narrative thins. Bond holds at proper setpoint but Mental has fallen below usable range for organizing a self — the grip is ready, and too little clear thought-material gathers for self-sense to form. How far the thinning has gone varies: at the mild end there is less to work with than usual, at the severe end almost nothing. Nothing about it may trouble an observer, while inside the inner room has gone quiet of self-relevant content. Propagation runs first through Mental: the thinning carries through Open, Focus, and Move as each capacity meets the same depleted ground. In some forms Bond also loosens toward meaning, feeling, or relationship, following the particular loss around which the vacancy formed. Support carries the recovery here — Bond alone won't pull the rest back; the spread eases after Mental refills.
