Definition
Receiving runs wide open while relating stays turned toward the self. Open takes in another person's cues faster than they can settle, but Relational organizes around the self's own vantage, so what arrives becomes reassurance, threat, or reflection rather than mutual exchange. Propagation runs two ways: Focus, Bond, and Move lose their outward purchase as each finds relating aimed back at the self, while Open extends the same hot intake laterally into Emotional and Mental, where the search for a signal of being met continues. In the scanning and bid-retract forms relating turns back toward the other and the over-intake settles behind it. Where the posture has hardened into helpless clinging, autonomous ground has to be built first — work that is not Open's to do alone.
