Definition

Routing escape to Belonging BR provides a secondary relational container when narrative identity cannot yet bind the flood — communal holding of flooded meaning supplies a relational anchor for saturation. Cross-capacity Bond continuity preserves bond function across domain shift. The mechanism is communal containment as scaffolding while individual narrative-capacity rebuilds. The container can be a faith community, a mutual-help fellowship for those whose over-giving formed around a relative's drinking, or — with no congregation or fellowship required — a deliberately scheduled pattern of contact with a few trusted people, which supplies the same repeated holding.
