Definition

Intervention at Identification BM builds differentiation of self — a self-frame defined from within rather than through the partner's affect stream. Differentiation work at this center gives the merged person a structural self that affect-fusion cannot dissolve. Keystone delivery in the Bond capacity carries this work because affect-fusion is held together by the absence of a structural self on either side.
