Acuity Collapse Surge Blanking
Definition
Hyperarousal cognitive blanking: under social or performance threat working memory and sustained attention seize, the mind goes blank precisely when it must engage. Distinct from mental-shutdown (no constitutional EF deficit, blanking is state-bound to feared contexts), reward-blank (drive is intact, arousal floods it rather than draining it), mind-absence and layered-fog (arousal spike, not dissociative dropout), engine-stalled (no avolition), and early-fracture (acute, not child-onset).
