cascade-variant
Acuity Fixation Worry Vigilance
Definition
Worry attentional lock: focus grips threat-relevant content harder than it warrants, sustaining anticipatory over-engagement with worry-thought across everyday domains. Distinct from hyperfocus lock by aversive future-threat loading rather than reward-salience capture, and from standard vise by anticipatory uncertainty rather than error-intolerant standard-enforcement — the grip scans forward for danger rather than backward for flaws.
