Numbing
Definition
Numbing carries Emotional from Felt toward Numb when actual affective participation becomes desensitized, blocked, rejected, or otherwise unavailable, so affect no longer participates as feeling at the declared scope. Quiet or low-intensity feeling remains Felt; neutrality, delay, concealed display, or difficulty naming an emotion does not by itself establish Numb as a broader condition. The transition does not by itself assert repression, intention, defense, trauma, medication, or any other cause. A genuinely neutral live local occasion is Numb at that occasion's scope and therefore structurally entails Numbing; this locates nothing in time and asserts no broader condition.
